Benchmark Methodology
Version Control: Scanner updates are documented, and new benchmarks begin only after the production scanner is finalized.
Minimum Benchmark Size: 50 websites per industry
Consistent Scanner Version: Each benchmark is completed using a single scanner version to ensure comparable results.
Research Approach: Observations are published only after meaningful patterns emerge from benchmark data.

About the Benchmark
The Electric Blue SEO AI Search Visibility Benchmark originated from a multi-year case study of the Visit Isle of Palms and Visit Sullivan’s Island websites. Because every content, structural, and technical update was made under controlled conditions, changes in AI citations could be observed over time using Bing AI. Those findings became the foundation of today’s AI Search Visibility Platform and continue to guide the development of future benchmark studies.
